Give our expert consultants a call on 02 8305 2114 so we can immediately provide you with specific, comprehensive answers to your questions.

1. Should I attend the 2 day fundamentals OR 1 day fast track basics?
We recommend the 2 day fundamentals course if you need to manage projects with a budget of over $80K. The 2 day fundamentals covers the essential topics in greater depth and allows more time for case studies and interactive discussions about specific projects you are working on.

If you have difficulty taking 2 days off work and only need to manage smaller projects, the 1 day fast track basics may be sufficient – one day of learning is better than none. View learning pathway.

2. Is this course accredited?
This course is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and has met or exceeded their rigorous standards for quality and effectiveness. The AIPM is the peak body for project management in Australia and has been instrumental in progressing the profession over the past 30 years. Its vision is to be regarded as a world authoritative reference on project management practices and competency. Visit www.aipm.com.au for more information.

This course is also aligned with the PMBOK® Guide and covers all elements required for Industry Skills Councils (ISC) competency standard BSBPMG522A “Undertake project work”. Visit training.gov.au for more information.

3. Will I receive contact hours/PDUs?
This course provides you with 15 contact hours/PDUs, contributing to prerequisites for more advanced Certifications. For example, to apply for PMP Certification, you’ll need 35 contact hours. See PMP exam prep and view learning pathway..

4. What should I bring to the course?
Bring a notepad and pens, you won’t need a laptop.

5. How does this course fit into a learning pathway to enhance my career?
If you’re making project management your career, this course is the ideal foundation for everything to follow. For example, after gaining some experience, you’ll be eligible to attend PMP exam prep and obtain the highly sought after PMP Certification. View learning pathway.

6. I’ve already attended the 1 day fast track basics, is it worth attending this one?
If you need to manage projects with a budget of over $80K, a deeper understanding of the basics is crucial. The 2 day fundamentals course covers more topics and allows more time for case studies and interactive discussions about specific projects you are working on.

Even though you will notice some revision, applying the theory to the real world is a never ending challenge – that’s why even the top sports pros spend hours each day revising and re-practicing the basics. You may also be surprised how much you have forgotten since attending the 1 day course.
